Learn Permanent Jewelry Hands-On in a Real Working Jewelry Store
Spend the day with Karla inside Pretty Pickie at River Park. Learn the welding skill, customer process, pricing, sourcing and event basics — and if you're ready to launch, leave with your own professional welder and starter setup.
This Isn't a Course We Built Around a PowerPoint
Permanent jewelry is part of what we do at Pretty Pickie. We've worked with real customers, real chains, real appointments, real events and the little problems you only learn by doing the work.
Karla teaches you inside the same Fresno store where we weld jewelry, help customers choose chains and run the business.
You'll see how the whole process fits together: choosing chain, sizing, welding, troubleshooting, pricing, sourcing, customer service and events.
The goal isn't to finish a course. It's to leave knowing how to do the work.

We go through the machine, tools, chain, jump rings and how everything works together.
Start Welding
You practice. Karla watches. You make mistakes. We fix them. Then you do it again.

Chain selection, sizing, fit, welding, checking the bracelet and finishing the appointment.
Talk Business
Pricing, margins, sourcing, appointments, parties, events and the supplies worth buying first.

- You're seriously considering starting permanent jewelry
- You own a salon, boutique, beauty, jewelry or event business
- You learn better by doing than watching videos
- You want someone watching your welds and correcting you

- You'd rather start with a thoughtful setup than guess at supplies
Probably Not If...
- You only want the cheapest possible online class

- You don't want to spend time practicing the skill
- You expect one training day to replace continued practice
Permanent Jewelry Training FAQ
Do I need jewelry experience?
No. This training is built for beginners. We start with the machine, tools and basic welding process and work from there.
Is this a permanent jewelry certification course?
We don't build the training around getting a certificate. The focus is learning how to use the equipment, make consistent welds, work with customers and understand the business side of permanent jewelry. If documentation of your training is important to you, ask us about it when you inquire.
Do I need to own a welder before training?
No. In fact, if you're unsure which machine you want, we'd rather you train first. You'll use our equipment during the Training Day and can decide what makes sense afterward.
How long is the training?
Plan on about five hours. We keep the group small so there's time for hands-on practice, questions and individual feedback.
How many people are in each training?
Usually around two to four students. The point of keeping it small is giving Karla enough time to watch your welds and work with you directly.
Is the $795 price per person?
Yes. The Training Day is $795 per student. If you're interested in coming with a business partner, employee or friend, tell us when you inquire.
What if two people from the same business want to train?
Send us the details in the form below. Launch package pricing depends on how many people are training and whether you need one take-home machine/setup or more than one.
Do you teach the business side too?
Yes. We cover pricing, chain costs, margins, sourcing, customers, appointments, parties, events, supplies and what you need to think about when you're starting.
What comes home with me after the $795 Training Day?
The $795 option is training-only. Practice materials are included and you train on our machines, but a welder, tools and starter inventory are not included.
What comes home with me in Business Launch?
Business Launch includes the hands-on Training Day, your own Sunstone Zapp Plus 2, core tools, safety supplies, 10 starter chain styles with 30 total feet of chain, starter jump rings and findings, plus the launch materials and sourcing guidance listed above.
Why would I choose the $5,995 Pro package?
The biggest difference is the machine. Business Launch Pro uses the Orion mPulse instead of the Zapp Plus 2 and adds an expanded starter assortment, extra machine setup and practice, plus a private follow-up training session. Most beginners do not need to start with Pro.
What if I start with $795 training and want the package later?
If you upgrade to either Business Launch package within 60 days, we'll apply the full $795 Training Day price toward your package.
Where is the training?
At Pretty Pickie Boutique in Fresno, California, at River Park next to Me-n-Ed's.
Can I come from out of town?
Absolutely. Tell us where you're coming from and we'll send you the current training dates so you can decide what works best.
Check Upcoming Training Dates
Tell us what you're interested in. We'll send you the current training options and upcoming dates, and Karla can answer any questions before you decide.

Meet Karla
Karla is the owner of Pretty Pickie, a jewelry boutique in Fresno’s River Park.
She’s spent years doing permanent jewelry with real customers — more than 2,000 bracelets and counting.
That means you’re not learning from someone who just took a course and started teaching courses. You’re learning inside the store where we actually do this every day.
Karla will show you what works, what goes wrong, what customers buy, and what she wishes she knew when getting started.
